The Lie: Evolution

(Holding Abortionists and Accomplices Accountable)

Compiled by Karl Priest April 4, 2013

A call to 40 (or more churches) to cover 40 hours (4 people for one hour each week) holding signs of preborn babies outside of an abortuary.

It is time for preachers to step up and take the lead to defend the most vulnerable of humankind.

The Key Questions of Abortion

A Challenge to Pro-Life Voters

Life News

Other than voting for pro-life candidates every two (or four) years, what else are we doing to save babies’ lives? Other than expressing our moral outrage in tweets or comments, what practical difference are we making? If this is such a grave evil in God’s sight and if we are so burdened by it, what are we doing the rest of the year?

Worldwide, roughly 46 million babies are destroyed in the womb each year. About one in five pregnancies end in abortion. The overwhelming majority of abortions are done as a means of birth control and convenience.

God’s people are obligated to honor God’s Law more than man’s. Though abortion is legal, that does not mean that it is right in God’s eyes (Acts 5:29).

By 21 days the baby’s heart begins to beat and the blood flows through its body. At 45 days the tiny baby’s brain waves can be detected. By 8 to 9 weeks the eyelids have begun forming and hair appears. By 9 or 10 weeks it sucks its thumb, jumps, frowns, swallows, and moves its tongue. By 12 or 13 weeks the baby has fingernails and its own unique fingerprints; all arteries are present, vocal chords are complete; the baby can cry and recoils from pain. At 14 weeks the mother begins to feel the baby moving inside of her. At 15 weeks the baby has fully-formed taste buds. At 16 weeks, it has eyebrows and eyelashes, and it can grasp with its hands, kick, and even somersault. At 20 weeks the baby can hear and recognize its’s mother’s voice.

The most common types of abortion are the following:

Suction Aspiration. This is the most common method during the first trimester of pregnancy. The tiny infant is literally sucked out of the womb by a powerful pump with a suction force nearly 30 times that of a home vacuum cleaner. The procedure tears the baby’s body into pieces.

Dilation and Curettage (D&C). This method is used up to 18 weeks. The abortionist uses a currette, a steel knife, to cut the baby into pieces so they can be removed.

Partial Birth (D&X). Used for “advanced pregnancies,” the baby is partially removed from the womb so that about half of its little body is exposed with its legs hanging outside the woman’s body. The abortionist then plunges scissors into the baby’s head at the nape of the neck and spreads them open to kill the child. It’s brain is then removed by suction before the lifeless body is removed entirely.

Salt Poisoning. This is used after 16 weeks. The abortionist injects a strong salt solution directly into the amniotic sac (the fluid surrounding the baby). As the baby breathes and swallows the solution, it is poisoned. It takes over an hour to kill the baby, with it struggling and convulsing during this time. Infants aborted in this manner are called “Candy Apple Babies,” because the corrosive effect of the salt exposes the raw, red, glazed-looking subcutaneous layer of skin and its head thus looks like a candy apple.

Prostaglandin Chemical Abortion. Drugs delivered through injection or suppository produces a violent labor and deliver of the child. Sometimes the baby is born alive, but it is too small to survive.

RU-486. This drug taken in pill form produces an abortion by not allowing the newly-implanted baby access to an essential hormonal nutrient. Ru-486 is used after the mother misses her period, at which stage the baby is at least two to three weeks old. This is old enough to have a beating heart.

The Bible forbids the abortion of an unborn child. Consider the following truths:

1. The Bible says that man is created in God’s image (Gen. 1:26). Man is not the product of blind naturalistic evolution and he is not an animal that can be killed for convenience.

The doctrine of evolution has been a moving force behind the abortion industry, because it teaches that man is only an animal. In fact, the evolutionary doctrine of “recapitulation” claims that the embryo is not fully human until late in its growth stage.

This theory was popularized by Ernst Haeckel, Charles Darwin’s most prominent supporter in Germany. Haeckel taught that “ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny.” Ontogeny is the growth in the womb, and phylogeny is evolutionary development. The unborn child supposedly goes through a series of evolutionary stages from single cell to fish to amphibian to reptile to mammal to ape to human. Thus, the fetus only becomes human in its later stages. Haeckel produced drawings that showed that the human embryo is the same as that of animals such as a fish, a pig, and a monkey, but the drawings were fake. Haeckel mislabeled embryos; he changed the size of embryos; he deleted parts; he added parts; he changed parts. Taking Haeckel’s recapitulation theory as fact, they claimed that the embryo begins as “a kind of parasite” and changes into something like a fish with “gill arches” and then becomes “reptilian” and finally “mammalian.” By the end of the second month, the fetus “is still not quite human”.

2. God forbids man to shed innocent blood. Twenty times the Bible forbids the shedding of “innocent blood” (e.g., Deut. 19:10-13; 2 Kings 21:16). This refers to killing a person without a just cause (1 Sam. 19:5). To put a murderer to death, for example, is a just cause, but to kill an innocent person is unjust. God hates those who shed innocent blood (Prov. 6:16-17). What person is more innocent than an unborn child?

3. Modern science calls the unborn a “fetus,” but it is called a “child” in the Bible (Gen. 25:22). The child that dies before it is born is called an “infant” (Job 3:16). Therefore, to kill a “fetus” is to kill an infant child. The Bible says that children are distinct individuals even when they are in the womb. This was true of Esau and Jacob (Gen. 25:23). Jeremiah was called to be a prophet while he was still in the womb (Jer. 1:5), and John the Baptist was filled with the Spirit and responded to Christ while in the womb (Luke 1:15, 41-44).

4. The Law of Moses demanded punishment if an unborn baby was harmed (Ex. 21:22-23). The injury or death of an unborn child was treated as a serious crime.

5. The Bible says that God is in control of conception (Genesis 20:18; 29:31; 30:22). The Bible says children are the heritage of the Lord (Psalm 127:3). The child in the womb does not belong to the mother; it belongs to God.

6. The Bible says God forms the child in the womb (Psalm 139:13-16).

a. God possessed or fashioned David’s reins (Psa. 139:13).

(1) The word “reins” refers to the immaterial part of man, his heart, soul, and spirit. The term “reins” is closely associated with the “heart” and refers especially to man’s will, the seat of his desires, affections, and passions. See Psalm 16:7; 26:2; 73:21; Proverbs 23:16; Isaiah 11:5; Jeremiah 11:20; 17:10; 20:12; Revelation 2:23.

(2) This is God’s realm. Man doesn’t know enough about this to interfere. If an egg is fertilized for scientific research and the new life begins to grow and then is cut off, this means that a life made in God’s image has been extinguished. According to Psalm 139 it appears that the reins are already present in that newly conceived person even though its body has not yet formed. The Psalms teach us that man’s reins are possessed of God. They are formed by Him and owned by Him and return to Him at death (Ecc. 12:7). Let man beware!

b. God fashioned David’s body (Psa. 139:13-16). Here David thinks about the amazing complexity of his body and states that God is the author and should be praised for His works. “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well” (Psa. 139:14). No other evidence for the existence of an almighty, all-wise Creator is needed than the fact of man’s miraculous makeup.

(1) David was curiously wrought and fashioned in continuance (Psa. 139:15, 16). This is a wonderful description of how the infant grows in the womb, beginning with the microscopic fertilized egg. The statement that David was made “in the lowest parts of the earth” does not refer to places under the earth but to the womb itself. It is a poetic description of the womb as a dark, inaccessible place where man’s eye does not penetrate. The Hebrew word translated “curiously wrought” (raqam) means “to variegate color, i.e. embroider; by implication, to fabricate” (Strong). It is elsewhere translated “needlework” (Ex. 26:36) and “embroiderer” (Ex. 38:23). Barnes comments: “It refers to the act of ‘weaving in’ various threads--as now in weaving carpets. The reference here is to the various and complicated tissues of the human frame--the tendons, nerves, veins, arteries, muscles, ‘as if’ they had been woven, or as they appear to be curiously interweaved. No work of tapestry can be compared with this; no art of man could ‘weave’ together such a variety of most tender and delicate fibres and tissues as those which go to make up the human frame, even if they were made ready to his hand: and who but God could ‘make’ them? The comparison is a most beautiful one; and it will be admired the more man understands the structure of his own frame” (Barnes). Alan Gillen, M.D., says, “The body is woven together just like a tapestry. For example, look at the interwoven complexity of a single skeletal muscle. ... Under the microscope, the amazing interwoven design manifests itself” (Body by Design, 2001, p. 8).

(2) A description of David’s body was written in God’s book before he was formed (Psa. 139:16). This amazing divine book of human blueprints apparently exists in heaven.

c. In light of this Bible teaching, abortion is certainly murder. That child does not belong to the mother; it belongs to the Creator. A woman is not free to do with her body as she pleases because she is a created being and is accountable to God, and further, that infant in her womb is a separate body and a separate individual.

7. Idolaters killed their sons and daughters, and this was something that God hated (Psalm 106:38).

8. Like photos of lynchings of blacks and extermination of Jews (not to mention the current Muslim atrocities) photos of murdered babies show people what "choice" really is.

Here are common objections to showing graphic images:

What if children see these photos of abortion victims? What effect do these pictures have on a woman who has had an abortion? Doesn't the public display of abortion victim pictures make the pro-life movement look extreme? Doesn't it dishonor the unborn babies in these pictures to show them out on the street?

More on the number 40:

(W)e tried twice in the last five years to end abortion in our state except to save the life of the mother.  During each ballot attempt, not only was a major cross-section of the church silent on the issue (i.e. they didn’t speak out to their congregations much less to the public against abortion and for life), some actually joined the enemy and defended abortion. Some of these joined together under an umbrella organization they called “Pastors for Moral Choices” (the rest of us called it what it was: “Pastors for Immoral Choices”).

Of course, they anesthetize their consciences (put their consciences in a coma, really) by claiming, “Oh, you have to keep abortion legal to save the life of the mother, in case of rape or incest, for blah blah this and blah blah that.”

R. C. Dr. Sproul says, “I would find the names of every pastor in America who favors abortion on demand, every denomination in that favor, and I would be picketing up and down in front of those churches on Sunday morning saying, ‘This church supports abortion on demand.”

(I ask, “What about the pro-life churches that do practically nothing if they do anything?” --Karl)

(S) uch a move would do one or both of two things: (1) it would force such apostate churches to pee or get off the pot, and (2) the publicity and subsequent public discussion would leave no doubt that God considers human life sacred…and so does his obedient Church.

For legal abortion to end in America, Christian pastors must apply their talents, authority, and pulpit privileges to seven leadership urgencies. The need is dire.

“Pasturing…hmmm…I think I’m on to something here. That is really what most men in the pulpit really do, isn’t it? They lead the sheep into the pasture and keep them fenced in and at a safe distance from the wolves. Well, it’s time for pastors to stop “pasturing” and start leading!... Tell your “pasture” it’s time for him to man-up and get in the game. Tell him it’s time to lead, not just talk. Tell him that babies are dying (and we know they’re dying) and that God wants His Church to do something about it. Tell him that you will not give one more dollar until he ups his game and starts talking about the issues that truly matter. Tell him it’s time to lead. It’s time to stop asking God to do for us what we refuse to do for ourselves… Is turning a blind eye leading? Is stuffing a sock in your mouth leading? Is refusing to rescue the innocent because of the potential consequences leading? If your “pasture” is hiding in the closet on the most significant issue of our generation, then the answer is painfully clear. He is unqualified and unfit for leadership!”

One lie is that children in the womb are not human beings, at least up to a certain point of gestation. That is not true. It is a matter of fact — a straightforward scientific fact known since the basics of human reproduction were first understood in the early 19th century — that human life begins at fertilization of the egg by the sperm, and that at every stage of life thereafter, from zygote to embryo to fetus to newborn, the individual is a human being. The child in the womb is not a part of the mother (half the time he’s not even the same sex as the mother), nor is a child in the womb mere “tissue” that becomes a human being at some arbitrary point in gestation. Women don’t reproduce by budding.

Consider a woman walking home with her toddler. She is beaten and robbed because she was unable to flee due to having to carry her toddler. Should her toddler be killed? Someone else said, “A child should not get a death sentence because of the crime of his/her father.” Karl

Rape and incest are similar in the sense that both are criminal acts. In our system of justice, we punish the criminal. We do not punish the victim, nor do we punish the criminal’s children. We are told, however, that if pregnancy occurs as a result of rape or incest, offering the victim an abortion is the compassionate thing to do. No woman should be “forced to carry that monster’s child.”

The trauma of sexual assault is very real, and there is no intention here to downplay that. But abortion carries its own variety of trauma. Women — even those who were victims of sexual assault — have reported years of physical, emotional and psychological difficulty following their abortions. Abortion did not solve their problem; it merely created additional ones.

In addition to this we should never forget that abortion takes the life of a living human being. The circumstances of how the child’s life was created may have been criminal, but the life of the newly-created human being is just as valuable as any other person’s. Killing the child of a criminal who has committed sexual assault is not the solution. We should punish the criminal, not kill his child.

So, an unborn baby is not a human being? What is it—a dog, a dolphin, a green bean? It has 100% human DNA (with a unique combination of information that came from both father and mother), and humans only produce humans, so the unborn baby can’t be anything other than a human! He or she is an individual. In fact, the woman’s body looks on this individual as foreign and would reject him or her, but God designed a mechanism to overcome this and welcome the individual for development…So, if an unborn baby is just part of the woman’s body, then, when a woman delivers her baby, is she missing part of her body—a part with DNA unique to it? Does that part of her body eventually learn to walk, talk, and play, like a baby does?

We must be pro-life because God is the Creator and the Giver of life and we are not. We have no right to decide which children live and which die.

We must be pro-life because God has created all humans in his image. We have no right to decide which humans have more of his image and are therefore more entitled to live the life God has given them.

We must be pro-life because God has decreed that murder is wrong. Because human life begins at the moment of fertilization, we have no right to murder a baby—one growing in the womb or one that continues to grow outside it.

World’s most premature baby, given 0% odds of survival, celebrates first birthday

When Beth and Rick Hutchinson (both USA) welcomed their son into the world on 5 June 2020 – several months ahead of schedule – he was so small that he could fit into the palm of one of their hands.

Weighing a mere 340 g (11.9 oz) – about the same as a can of soup, or one-tenth of the average weight for a full-term newborn.

"When Rick and Beth received prenatal counselling on what to expect with a baby born so early, they were given a 0% chance of survival by our neonatology team," said Richard’s neonatologist at Children’s Minnesota, Dr Stacy Kern.

Despite a due date of 13 October 2020, Beth experienced medical complications and unexpectedly went into labour almost four months earlier than anticipated.

Richard was born at a gestational age of 21 weeks 2 days, making him 131 days premature. The standard gestational period for a baby is 40 weeks.

When Does Human Life Begin?

Testimony of Former Abortion Provider, Dr. Anthony Levatino

Standing outside of a baby killing center in Charleston, WV
(This center is now closed.)

Dr. Bernard Nathanson, the last surviving co-founder of NARAL — the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws (later renamed NARAL Pro-Choice America)… In 1973, just a few months after celebrating the Roe v Wade decision, Dr. Nathanson witnessed for the first time a new technology: real-time ultrasound. He observed an unborn child in the womb — smiling, stretching, and wiggling her toes. He told me, “Real-time ultrasound was the bomb. It made everything come alive.” Science revealed the beauty, goodness and truth of life in this sacred space, demanding intellectual honesty from Dr. Nathanson; he had to acknowledge that abortion kills an existing human life, and admit that what he had been doing was morally wrong… By 1979, the father of America’s abortion industry had become 100% pro-life — without exceptions.

(T)they claim that being “pro-life” means being against racism, which they inconsistently argue somehow necessitates voting for pro-abortion candidates. Imagine that—fighting racism by supporting Black genocide. The fact is, abortion kills almost 30 percent of Black children in the womb—and more than half of them in New York City.

It is well documented that Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, was a racist who, in a 1939 letter to her board member Dr. Clarence J. Gamble, wrote, “We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population.”

Alveda King, the niece of Martin Luther King, Jr., (said) in a television interview: “During her lifetime Dr. Margaret Sanger said ‘colored’ people are like weeds and they need to be exterminated.” No wonder the vast majority of Planned Parenthood facilities—to this day—are in the minority neighborhoods.

A woman may say, “It’s my body and my choice” to justify killing her unborn baby. By that logic, she can choose to kill anyone who enters her home.”
source unknown

“Because Jesus is both the second person of the Trinity and was born of a woman, he is true God and true man. His nature — the hypostatic union of God and human flesh — is not only unique in all existence and in all time; it is inseparable… Jesus, who is God, spent the nine months preceding his birth as a baby in Mary's womb… What do they think Jesus was in Mary's womb — the second person of the Blessed Trinity, true God and true man, or a hunk of flesh? He was God in the womb — man and divine — and very much a person.”

“Human life begins at fertilization and ends at natural death. That is science, established in the 19th century (when the biology of fertilization was first understood) and it is as certain as gravity and heliocentrism. There is no scientific debate about when life begins or about the fully human status of a child in the womb. There are merely scientists and doctors who tell the truth, and those who don’t. An embryo is fully human, as is a fetus, a newborn, a toddler, a child, a teen, a mature adult and an elderly adult. Human life is a continuum, from conception to death, without pause. Our size and abilities and characteristics change as we grow, but we are human beings from conception onward. Children don’t magically become human beings just at birth, and their humanity from conception onward doesn’t depend on whether or not their mother wants them…Whether a fetus is a ‘baby’ depends on your definition of ‘baby.’ It’s notable that everyone except abortion-mongers call them babies (‘I felt the baby move today!”, “Ms. Smith, the ultrasound shows that the baby is a boy!’).”

Abortion is a form of murder – plain and simple. More specifically, abortion is first-degree murder. It is not accidental, but typically well-planned. Tragically, there is much deception, misleading, and the lying surrounding abortion. Many who say they are believers are taking the word “murder” and seeking to substitute it with words like “abortion,” “reproductive rights,” and “euthanasia.” It seems that they want to believe that murder is acceptable if we rename it. Yet whatever name you give the act of taking innocent life, it is still clearly wrong according to the Word of God. Abortion is murder, and it’s clearly against the Word of God and the will of God.

(The founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret) “Sanger was a foremost proponent of the eugenics movement in the U.S., motivated especially by her particular animus toward poor nonwhites. Her crusade to legalize birth control was motivated in large part by her desire to prevent the “unfit” and “feeble-minded” from reproducing…Nearly 80 percent of Planned Parenthood’s clinics are located within walking distance of neighborhoods occupied predominantly by black and Hispanic residents. Despite constituting only 13 percent of the female population, black women represent more than one-third of all abortions in the U.S. each year. Black women are five times more likely than white women to obtain an abortion, and abortions are highly concentrated among low-income women. In recent years in New York City, more black babies were aborted than were born alive.”

Males produce around 300 million sperm per day, but only one will accomplish fertilization. The sperm consists of a head portion that contains DNA from the father and a flagellar tail portion, serving as a propulsion device. Once inside a woman’s body, the sperm must find its way to the ovum, located in the Fallopian tube. But it isn’t that simple. The successful sperm must be first to penetrate the zona pellucida surrounding the egg, which consists of proteins to bind the spermatozoa (sperm).1 Once the sperm attaches, enzymes in the sperm head begin to penetrate the zona pellucida,2 and numerous processes begin to prevent any other sperm access to the interior of the egg. Once the egg is fertilized, it will be implanted in the uterus and develop further until birth.

For the egg, the path is simpler. When a woman is born, she has all the eggs she will ever have resting in her ovaries, awaiting release. Roughly once a month, the woman’s body releases one (rarely two or more) eggs. Once the egg is released, it will travel down the Fallopian tube and wait for sperm. The egg is “smart.” It can tell the difference between human and non-human sperm, as well as between sperm and other cells.3 If no sperm arrives, the egg is expelled from the body, and the cycle starts over again.

Though this process as described here is greatly simplified, even as such, it points to an elegant process from an magnificent Creator who has designed life to reproduce after its kind. More importantly for us, he made us in his image and then became a man to live as one of us (Philippians 2:7)—yet perfectly (Hebrews 4:15)—and to die for us (Mark 10:45).

Biologically, genetically, and spiritually, the moment a sperm successfully fertilizes an egg, a new person—made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27)—has been created. From this moment on, any attempt to end the life of this baby, including preventing implantation as some abortofacients do, is murder.

Some people say that abortion doesn’t kill human beings. And yet everything you and I are—our sex, how tall we will be, the color of our eyes—all of these things were determined at the moment of conception. And from conception to birth, it’s all one continuous period of growth. The Mayo Clinic documents the humanity and growth of the preborn baby in the womb until birth…

David states in Psalm 139, “For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

The prophet Jeremiah says this in the very opening of his book: “The word of the Lord came to me saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you apart. I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.’” So, here’s this little unborn baby being appointed a prophet of the nations by God Himself.

Jumping ahead to the New Testament, in Luke 1, we read of two pregnant relatives visiting with each other. Elizabeth, who was pregnant with John the Baptist, and Mary, who was pregnant with Jesus. Elizabeth says, “As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.” Baby? The Greek word in Luke 1 is brephos, which means baby.

Some people believe abortion is murder because it ends a life, others view it as compassionate because having a child can end your social life. Whether you fall on the side of science or the superficial party time, there has to be a middle ground, right? To those Democrats who insist abortion is a “deeply personal” or “really hard choice,” I’d be tempted to ask why – how can removing something you refer to as a parasite be difficult? Do you lose sleep over having your cat dewormed or a mole removed?

(T)he scientific issues regarding the beginning and nature of human life were settled in the early 19th century. Human life begins at fertilization of the egg by the sperm. After that point, every fertilized egg is a distinct separate human being. There is no scientific debate about this fact. It is a fact as certain as gravity or that the earth orbits the sun…

Why has not the National Academy of Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, or the American Medical Association stated clearly and publicly the basic scientific fact that human life begins at fertilization? The answer is obvious: many scientists in these organizations are willing to do what it takes to advance their ideology, and scientists who do understand and embrace the truth about the beginning of human life are generally too cowardly to press the issue. It’s an enormous scandal.

The Second Amendment provides Americans with a means of exercising their natural right to self-defense. A gun is a perfectly appropriate tool to protect your innocent life while also opposing abortion-on-demand to protect the lives of an untold number of unborn babies who otherwise would be extinguished. If one of your primary values is the protection and defense of innocent life from a violent, mortal threat, then being pro-life and supporting the Second Amendment is perfectly and reasonably consistent. Moreover, the "you can't be pro-life and still be pro-gun" argument fails at several other intelligent examinations beginning with the classic apples and oranges test. A gun is an object; abortion is an act. Supporting the right to own a gun has no direct moral implication since a person can own a gun and never use it. However, supporting, promoting, and funding abortions directly results in babies being killed—every single time. Every successful abortion ends a life.

Following are reports of some of the times I stood with the 40 Days for Life folks. I did not report on every day. There are phots and videos available.

[After Action Report from the 40 Days for Life Campaign at the Charleston, WV killing center 10-19-21.]

On October 13, 2021, I stood for an hour) with the folks from Charleston group of 40 Days for Life. Please pray for these courageous folks.

Having served with Vets Against John Kerry and Vets for Trump, I was used to the offensive reaction of liberals. However, the reactions today were evil. Of course, most people did not react (My sign said, “Abortion Kills Children.”). There were some positive waves and honks.  They probably equaled the middle fingers. There were several “F*** you” yells.  What made today different from political battles is the screams of “Stick that sign up you’re a**!” and “terrorist!”.   There were some screams that I could not decipher, but the sound of the voices was demonic.

Two (obviously public school indoctrinated) teen girls walked by.  Neither could have been more than 16.  One chanted, “My body, my choice.”

A car stopped and someone stole some signs the group had place in the ground.

On a positive note, my 74-year-old friend came straight from physical therapy walking on a cane due to major surgery. Also, 2-3 women had been there all day. They came all the way from Lewis County which is about 100 miles away. Another lady stops almost every day at about 7:00 a.m., on her way to work, to help set up. IMHO, they eliminate any excuse for not taking a stand for pre-born babies.

[After Action Report from the 40 Days for Life Campaign at the Charleston, WV killing center 10-19-21.]

A lady who came all the way (about 80 miles) from Weston, WV told me that on a previous day there was a Jericho March. Not sure how many folks marched. They marched seven times around the clinic. On the 7th trip, a lady blew a shofar at each corner. Police arrived and said the killing center (my term, not the officer's) had complained that they were using air horns.

Today, the escorts brought in two white girls and tried to use an umbrella to block their view of my sign.

As I was ready to leave, I saw the guard trying to give a paper to an elderly lady. She was holding a doll and praying. When I went over, he showed me a copy of the city ordinance that said we are not allowed to talk to the ones entering the killing center. He and I got into a heated discussion.

I asked, "Is this a baby?" and point to my sign.

He (paraphrase) said, "Yes, but you do not have the right to impose your religious beliefs on others."

I said that the photo is science.

He said, (paraphrase), "Three of my family said Christians are shameful." He named them. I think it was grand-father, father and uncle.

I said, "What you are doing is the same as the guards at the Nazi gas chambers."

He acknowledged that I was a vet, then went off about being a Vietnam veteran and how protesters had spit on the returning vets and called them baby killers."

I did respond and hope to talk to him tomorrow. I told him that I would pray for him.

Before this, an unbelievably sad event occurred. A black lady pulled up and let out two young black girls and a young black boy.

She ranted over and over (close quote), "It is my baby and I can kill it if I want to!" I tried to tell her that abortion has killed more blacks than the Klan ever dreamed of. She continued to rant. One of the girls was crying. I have to assume it was her who was going to kill her baby. She was escorted, sobbing, into the killing center.

I have some video of today and will share it if there is someone who can edit it and blur out faces.

I hope to see you all there tomorrow around noon, but come when you can.

The lady from Weston told me she and others had written letters to almost 200 churches for help. That church has not helped and it is rare when a church does help.

[After Action Report from the 40 Days for Life Campaign at the Charleston, WV killing center 10-20-21.]

Today there was preachin’, singin’, and prayin’. If you were not there you missed a blessin’!

The perverted rainbow-colored umbrellas were out and used three times while I was there to shield the women/girls from seeing the signs as they enter the killing center.

The baby killing escorts were in full force.

Two young women were there to support the baby killing. One had a sign that said, "I'll bet your mom wishes she had a choice."

I apologized to the guard for coming on too strong yesterday and we had a mutually respectful moment. I told him my Vietnam vet friend would be there tomorrow if he (the guard) wanted to talk.

Several women stopped by to get free diapers and wipes.

Brother Terrence shared a Facebook post with me posted by a baby killing advocate yesterday.

The caption accused me of carrying on.

The FACTS are that I saw the guy taking my picture and I was pointing to the image and asking him if it was a baby. I did not carry on and I challenge him to prove that I did.

I do not do Facebook, but here is the link:

I had to leave early because my son has pneumonia and is hospitalized. (COVID is negative.) I spent three hours with him. I am not bragging or complaining. I am trying to remove excuses from folks who will not come out to stand for Life.

[After Action Report from the 40 Days for Life Campaign at the Charleston, WV killing center 10-70-21.]

It was intense at the killing center (KC) today.

First, some good news.

1. Right before I left, a woman and her daughter stopped to get free diapers and wipes, then she took her daughter to the Pro-Life center next door to the KC.

2. Local pro-life folks hope to raise enough money to purchase the lot across the street from the KC.

3. I was told that the guard spoke to the lady and her nephew this morning and cried as he said what the pro-life folks are doing is right. I pray that God will lead him to a new job.

4. There is hope that we can continue to picket beyond the 40 Days for Life campaign.

Now, here is the report.

In the morning, before I arrived, about 12 women went in to (likely) kill their babies. A preacher was there preaching. At least three police cars arrived. He kept preaching after the police left.

There were three young women escorted into the KC while I was there.

A young male escort was hostile. He called me a name and when I asked him what the photo I was holding, he said it was a dolphin. My sign is an ultra sound photo of an 8-week-old preborn child.

The same guy told me to read Matthew 11. I got a NT and went to him and he told me to stay 8 feet way. I asked him to read it. He refused and when I started reading it, he moved away. I think he chose that chapter due to the word “hypocrite” that is in it.

A Marshall University professor was really hostile to others and me. I confess that I did not react very Christ like. He brought out the old Karl Priest. I sent him an apology email.*

*My email:

Dear Dr. Maher:

First, I sincerely apologize for being terse with you today. Your behavior brought out the old Orchard Manor boy in me, but that is not an excuse.

Please answer two questions.

1. When does human life begin?

2. Does Marshall University purchase fetal material from the clinic where you volunteer?

Last, if you are the one who posted my website on Facebook, thank you! I got a lot of visits to the site after that and hopefully, some of them saw how to Get Saved .

Karl Priest

He did not reply.

[After Action Report from the 40 Days for Life Campaign at the Charleston, WV killing center 10-29-21.]

Today, during my 12:30-2:00 watch a product of the public schools made a comment as she passed. I could not hear her initial comment. In response to my question, "Is this a baby?", she answered, "It's not your baby."

Earlier in the day, a truck intentionally ran over some signs near the corner on the killing center (KC) side. Mrs. Miller has photos. I stopped a police officer and he said it would probably be a waste of time to report the incident because they are busy with such things as murders. He did say to report it if they try to do us harm.

This is spiritual warfare.

40 Days for Life is very good but Christians need to do more.

After “40 Days for Life”:

1. A widow drove all the way from Weston to Charleston (about 100 Miles one way) and arrived at 8:30. She was there when I left at about 2:15.

2. A guy dropped off his woman and I asked him to be a man and save his baby. He ignored me. He left in his pick-up truck and as he passed, I held up the photo of an ultra-sound and he gave me a middle finger.

3. There was some kind of event with three local TV stations. I think it had to do with a needle exchange program. If so, they care more about drug addicts than babies. I crashed the party. The video is attached. A bunch of them used umbrellas to block my poster which I held in front of the cameras and behind the speaker. I decided to leave since no one was with me. To my knowledge none of the three TV stations and the local print media reported my presence.

Every church should be supporting their local (or closest) pro-life pregnancy help center.
